Using

HyperTerminal

with

the

Substation

Multiplexor

Windows

HyperTerminal is just one type of communications program you may use to configure the

Substation Multiplexor.

1. Refer to Chapter 1 for installation and communication instructions. Be sure to set the Master Port

Switch to 232.

2. From the Windows

Start Menu, select Programs, Accessories, Communications, HyperTerminal.

3. Double-click on the HYPERTRM.exe icon. The following screen appears:

4. Type a name for the location, such as “Multiplexor”, and choose an icon. This saves the connection

information for future use. Click OK. The following screen appears:
